Peggy Guggenheim lived in the unfinished Palazzo Venier dei Leoni for thirty years, and her collection of European and American 20th-century art fills it: Cubism, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism. It is the most important museum of its kind in Italy. It is a short walk from the Accademia, so the two pair well in one Dorsoduro morning.
