Giuseppe Cipriani opened Harry’s Bar in 1931, named after the young American whose loan helped him start it. The Bellini (white peach and prosecco) and beef carpaccio were both invented here. It is small, expensive and unchanged, which is the point. Have a Bellini at the bar; the restaurant upstairs is for a full, pricey meal.
