Ca’ di Dio occupies a historic building on the Riva, a few steps from the Arsenale water-bus stop and about ten minutes’ walk from St Mark’s. Patricia Urquiola designed the interiors: modern Italian design with Murano glass touches, arranged around courtyards. VERO is the restaurant and Alchemia the cocktail bar. For the view, ask about the Altana Suite, which looks across to San Giorgio and the lagoon. It is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
