The Benelli family opened Al Covo in 1987 and still runs it. The cooking is Venetian and seasonal, built on the lagoon and the farms around it, and served in a quiet dining room a short walk from the waterfront. Book ahead, by phone or online. It is a good choice if you are staying near St Mark’s or in Castello.
